On 26 October 2025, the IAJ Presidency Committee drafted a letter regarding the critical situation in Tunisia and sent it to the following authorities and institutions: the President of the Republic of Tunisia; the President of the Government of Tunisia; the Ministry of Justice of Tunisia; the Special Rapporteur of the United Nations on the Independence of Judges and Lawyers; the President of the European Union; the Secretary General of the Council of Europe; the Chairperson of the African Commission; the African Court on Human and Peoples’ Rights.
The letter was accompanied by other relevant documents, including the IAJ Statement 2024 and the Tunisian report.
