Following the news that the Government of the Republic of Niger has dissolved the Syndicat Autonome des Magistrats du Niger (SAMAN)—free association of judges and prosecutors in that country, and a member of the International Association of Judges since 1997, the Presidency Committee of the International Association of Judges decided to issue a statement, in English and French.
The PC concludes the statement urging the executive branch of the Republic of Niger to withdraw the aforementioned decrees concerning the Syndicat Autonome des Magistrats du Niger (SAMAN) and its Secretary-General.
