The Ibero American Group, regional group of the IAJ, issued a statement in defence of judicial independence in Peru, following the declarations of the Vice President of the Congress of the Republic, who accused a Peruvian judge of malfeasance for not applying a law in the exercise of diffuse constitutional and conventionality control, and therefore requested his removal before the competent disciplinary body of that country.
