The International Association of Judges (IAJ/UIM) has condemned the one-year prison sentence imposed on Tunisian judge Anas Hmedi, president of the Tunisian Judges Association.
The organization expressed full support for Hmedi, denounced serious rule-of-law violations in Tunisia, and urged authorities to end any retaliation against judges and safeguard judicial independence.
