On 11 January 2020 thousands of judges, prosecutors and lawyers from Poland and other European countries, accompanied by citizens, marched the street of Warsaw in defence of judicial independence.
Following the webinar on 12th of January, it is our pleasure to invite you to join us in commemorating this day in person.
A special event will take place in Brussels on 14 January, commemorating the March, as part of our joint effort to establish the Judicial Independence Day, thanks to the joint actions of the Polish Minister of Justice and Polish European MPs Kamila Gasiuk Pihowicz and Michał Wawrykiewicz.
It will be held in the premises of the European Parliament between 17:00 and 20:00.
The European Association of Judges will be part of this event, participating in the discussion panel, together with judges from Iustitia.
