The final report of the International Judges’ Mission to Guatemala is now available.
The document analyzes the election of the Attorney General and judicial independence in the country, and highlights concerns about politicization, pressure against judges, and the evaluation of candidates.
It also includes nine recommendations to strengthen the rule of law.
Meanwhile, the election process of the Attorney General in Guatemala is entering its final stage.
The Postulation Commission will soon reveal the names of the six candidates for the position to be presented to the President of the Republic who will make the final choice.
