José Igreja Matos Elected by Acclamation President of the IAJ

On September 11th, 2021, during the Rome based on-line meeting of the Central Council of the IAJ (the 63rd general meeting of the Central Council), Mr José Igreja Matos, former First Vice President of the IAJ and President of the EAJ, has been elected by acclamation as new President of the IAJ.

Congratulations to the new elected President as well to the past President, Mr Tony Pagone, who was nominated by acclamation Honorary President of the IAJ.

Members of the new Presidency Committee are Mr Duro Sessa (First Vice President), Mr Walter Barone, Mrs Allyson Duncan, Mrs Marcelle Kouassi, Mrs Sabine Matejka and Mr Mikael Sjoberg.

Mr Giacomo Oberto, current Secretary-General of the IAJ since 2012, was confirmed by acclamation in that position, together with his three Deputies, Mr D’Agostino, Mr Gargiulo and Mr Aschettino.
