On September 19 2023, during the Taipei meeting of the Central Council of the IAJ (the 65th general meeting of the Central Council), Mr. Duro Sessa former First Vice President of the IAJ and President of the EAJ, has been elected by acclamation as new President of the IAJ.
Congratulations to the new elected President as well to the past President, Mr. José Igreja Matos, who was nominated by acclamation Honorary President of the IAJ.
Members of the new Presidency Committee are: Mr. Walter Barone (First Vice President), Mrs. Allyson Duncan, Mrs. Marcelle Kouassi, Mr. Mikael Sjoberg, Mrs. Sabine Matejka and Mr. Roland Kempfle.
Mr. Giacomo Oberto, current Secretary-General of the IAJ since 2012, was confirmed by acclamation in that position, together with his three Deputies, Mr. D’Agostino, Mr. Gargiulo and Mr. Aschettino.
