Louise Mailhot Awarded as a Member of the Order of Canada

Former IAJ Vice President and ANAO Regional Group President Justice Louise Mailhot (Canada) has been awarded as a Member of the Order of Canada:  https://www.gg.ca/en/honours/recipients/146-108424 . The Order of Canada (French: Ordre du Canada) is a Canadian national order and the second highest honour for merit in the system of orders, decorations, and medals of Canada. It comes second only to membership in the Order of Merit, which is the personal gift of Canada’s monarch https://www.canada.ca/en/department-national-defence/services/medals/medals-chart-index/member-order-canada-cm.html.

Louise Mailhot (Montréal, Que.) was awarded  “For her contributions to the judicial profession, notably for her advocacy of gender equality and the promotion of women in the field”. In 2012 she had been awarded the Queen Elizabeth II Giolden Jubilee Medal.
